At Heritage Homestead Foundation, we believe that no one should struggle to find safe, stable housing after a lifetime of work, service, or sacrifice.

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing long-term supportive housing for adults aged 50 and older, veterans, and individuals living on fixed or limited income.

Our homes are more than a place to stay—they are structured, intentional environments designed to promote stability, dignity, and a renewed sense of belonging.

Safe & Supportive Housing

We offer shared housing accommodations within fully furnished homes thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Each residence is structured to promote stability, dignity, and a true sense of belonging.

Our homes include:

  • Comfortable, high-quality furnishings

  • All utilities included (electric, water, and gas)

  • High-speed Wi-Fi access

  • A clean, well-maintained, and structured living environment

Hygiene & Personal Care Support

At Heritage Homestead Foundation, we believe that access to basic hygiene and personal care items is essential to maintaining dignity, confidence, and overall health. Our Hygiene & Personal Care Support service ensures that residents have consistent access to the everyday essentials needed for self-care.

Residents are provided with hygiene kits that may include:

  • Soap and body wash

  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes

  • Shampoo and conditioner

  • Deodorant

  • Feminine hygiene products

  • Razors and grooming supplies

  • Lotion and skin care items

These items are distributed regularly to ensure no resident goes without basic necessities.

Transportation Assistance

We offer transportation support to ensure residents can reliably attend essential appointments and services. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Medical and healthcare appointments

  • Mental health services, including therapy and counseling

  • Social service and case management appointments

Our transportation assistance helps reduce barriers to care, promotes consistency in treatment and support services, and empowers residents to stay engaged in their personal development and overall well-being.

Nutritious Meals

Residents receive regular, well-balanced meals to support overall health and wellness. We strive to provide meals that are both nourishing and comforting, helping individuals feel cared for in a meaningful way

Our program emphasizes basic nutritional support tailored to the needs of older adults, including:

  • Meals designed to support heart health and general wellness

  • Consideration of common dietary needs (low sodium, diabetic-friendly options when possible)

  • Hydration support and encouragement of healthy eating habits

  • Attention to portion balance and nutritional value

While not a medical or clinical nutrition program, we strive to provide meals that contribute positively to each resident’s well-being.

Connection to Outside Resources

At Heritage Homestead Foundation, we understand that long-term stability requires more than housing alone. That’s why we are committed to connecting residents with trusted community resources and supportive services that promote overall well-being and personal growth.

Our goal is to ensure that every individual has access to the tools, services, and support systems needed to move forward with confidence.

We assist residents in accessing a wide range of essential services, including:

  • Medical and healthcare providers

  • Mental health and counseling services

  • Substance use recovery programs

  • Case management and social services

  • Veteran-specific resources and support programs

We help guide residents through the process of finding and connecting with the right services for their individual needs.

At Heritage Homestead Foundation, we are committed to creating more than just housing—we provide a place where individuals can feel secure, supported, and truly at home while working toward a brighter future.
